What an incredible concert we have just witnessed at Christchurch!
The children in years five and six and the choir members in years three and four have been practising for weeks now under the expert tutelage of Mr Frowde.
We are extremely grateful to him; the concert was a joy to behold and be part of. The readers did a wonderful job between the carols and special thanks must also go to Trevor Hughes, our pianist and organist for the afternoon, and Lewis poon for starting the proceedings with “Moonbeams” by Barbara Arens.
The rehearsals certainly paid off as the singing (from the children AND the parents) raised the rafters and our spirits. Some of the carols were extremely demanding in their complexity but the children performed them like true professionals! The expectation was high and they more than rose to the occasion.
Many thanks to Christchurch for allowing us to perform and to minister Val Reid for her Bidding Prayer and Blessing.
Thank you to all of those who attended and supported our chosen charity this year and a final massive thank you once again to all the children and Mr Frowde.
