As a whole school, we have been focussing on introducing more opportunities for active learning into our lessons. Today, we played ’round to 100 bingo’ which involved working against a partner to fill the bingo grid by rounding different numbers we made with digit cards. It was a great activity that involved not only our rounding skills but also our knowledge of place value which we applied to make different numbers to fill the slots on our card. The class also showed great resilience in the activity and there were even some risk takers who pushed their boundaries to learn the skill of rounding.
