Year 5 had the pleasure of hearing all about how an author comes up with ideas for their books when we visited the Priory School library this morning. Richard Mayers gave a great talk and told us all about his ‘Spikez’ novels and the ideas behind his books. The children all had a great time and were inspired to create their own cyborgs. We will be continuing this work with their home learning this week – they will develop their cyborgs and start thinking of ideas for stories which we will then start planning and writing next week in class.
It was a pleasure to take the children to The Priory School this morning and Mrs Stovin the librarian commented on how well-behaved they were throughout the visit. She said they were a credit to our school, which was great to hear. Well done Year 5!
