We have had another fun filled, busy week in Year 2! Thank you so much to everybody who came to the Open evening to look at all of the children’s beautiful, hard work that they have done this term. We are so proud of the children and for all of their achievements this term, and I am sure you will agree they have worked very hard.
Look at our amazing end product in D&T – the children’s vehicles – aren’t they spectacular?
Look at the amazing art work the children produced – they put together all their drawing skills to create their own picture of an animal.
In Maths the children are becoming really confident at adding and subtracting 2 two digit numbers – I hope you enjoyed your child teaching you how to do it!
Here the children showed what they have learnt about the five pillars of Islam – they worked in teams and talked about what each pillar means to be a Muslim.
The children learnt so much about animals and their habitats and created their own non fiction report – they are fantastic.
In Science the children learnt about food chains and made their own food chains.
We hope you had a chance to read these wonderful stories based on the book ‘Ten delicious teachers’. The children used a range of verbs, adjectives and even adverbs to show off their adventurous vocabulary in their very own books.
The children really loved learning about Grace Darling. They used air dough to create their own artefact and demonstrated what Grace Darling’s achievements meant to them.
