A Year 6 Class Post

Autumn Term Summary from brilliant Beech class!!!

We are so proud of our first time in year 6; what we have achieved and what we have experienced.

As you can imagine, we have learnt all of the things that Spruce mention in their list and wanted to tell you about our top 5 highlights!!

So in reverse order…

  1. Sporting achievements and skills. From football to basketball, archery to speed stacking but the highlight has to be winning the daily mile challenge and being the first class to be awarded the champions trophy!
  2. Spiderwick sensations! We kicked off our English learning by creating some weird and wacky creatures, who have spent many weeks displayed proudly in our school. Amazing writing skills to be proud of.
  3. The joys of Christmas – particularly those of us who sang solos and those who excelled in the talent show. Mrs Hughes also felt very blessed with the cards and gifts received from the class. Thank you.
  4. Maths through games. We have thrived on the games Mr Burgess has set up – especially Harry Potter battleships with co-ordinates. We are all maths whizzes!
  5. Being back in school as a team with our friends. We have shown true behaviour for learning all together, as well building our relationships back up so that we can learn together in a successful way.

So after a well deserved 2 weeks off we are looking forward to seeing what Spring Term brings; hopefully as much success as this term has delivered!

Merry Christmas and here’s to an even better new year!
