This week has been all about exploring.
Well done to all the children who set off on their bikes and have been learning successfully to ride more safely and independently. There have been lots of positive comments from the instructors about the children’s focus, resilience and support for each other. The children should all be very proud of themselves.
In school, we have been exploring adding and subtracting, writing our own chapters of Varjak Paw and for those not out and about on the roads, map-making.
We had fun outside practising balancing number sentences, checking that we really know what ‘=’ means and making sure we’re clear on the differences in making addition and subtraction number sentences balance.
As well as writing our own chapters, we’ve also started making illustrations for our Varjak Paw writing, focusing on negative space to create strong shapes for our images of the characters in our stories.
A really big well done to all the children for their flexibility, focus and kindness to themselves and each other.
