As part of our Black History Month project, Elm class have been working hard on their empathy skills! First, we investigated mystery sources inside a suitcase. Then we imagined what it was like to travel from Jamaica to the UK on the Empire Windrush; we drafted our own diary entries of the journey. Using our editing skills, we helped to improve each other’s writing and then published our diary entries using Word.
