In Art this week, Larch and Pine have been developing their collaging skills using Monet’s Lilly pads. The classes were given a small section of the painting and had to continue it around the edge, focusing on colour and shades. The children then used a range of materials to create the rest of the pond. They learned how to vary shades of the same colour (blue) and focused on how to add in different colours to add more detail of light and dark.
