On Tuesday 17th October, 16 students from Samuel Lucas JMI School attended the North Herts cross country event at Knights Templar in Baldock. There were 16 other schools taking part so everyone had to be at their best. About 72 children took part in each race that day and there were a total of 4 races. We had been training for this event for weeks, practicing on Thursday and Friday mornings and Tuesday lunchtimes. The practice was definitely worth it as everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. The Year 5 girls and Year 6 boys managed to each come 3rd in their categories.
