This week we have been learning about British Values and Democracy by exploring the UK General Election. Earlier in the week we learnt about the General Election and some of the key vocabulary. Yesterday some of us decided to put ourselves forwards to be a leader of one of our three class parties, explaining what qualities we had that would make us a good leader. After our anonymous paper vote; Ivy, Harry and Forest were selected as the representatives of the parties. Today they worked in their small party teams to come up with a name, logo and manifesto. After presenting our parties manifesto to the rest of the class we had a private ballot in our Polling Station and after ballot counting we announced our results (which I’m sure your children will tell you).
