Maths

Within maths this week, we have been spending lots of time using the Base 10. We have been working with 3 digit numbers and subtracting a 2 digit number. To do this we have needed to exchange a hundred into ten tens.

Towards the end of the week, we used our previous learning to help us solve word problems. In order to do this successfully we had to read the text carefully.

English

Our English lessons this week were based on the fable ‘War and Peas’. We used this fable to explore a range of co-ordinating and subordinating conjunctions. We remembered these conjunctions using ‘FANBOYS’ and ‘I SAW A WABUB’. We used drama to put ourselves in the King’s shoes and imagined how he felt, as well as using a little mouse to explore prepositions!
