Year 2 have had a great first week back after half term!
As readers we have explored the non-fiction text ‘Sharks’ and explored its features. As writers, we explored different sentence types used in non-fiction texts like statements and commands.
As mathematicians we have continued working on addition and subtraction and have learnt how to exchange 1 ten for 10 ones, or 10 ones for 1 ten.
As scientists we have started our new topic of ‘Animals including Humans’. We explored offspring of different animals and if animals lay eggs or give birth.
As performers we have started rehearsing for our Christmas Play ‘Hey Ewe’. So many children have learnt their words already – well done!
In our PE enrichment Oak class have started their ball and racket skills and Hawthorn class developed their agility skills by playing ‘Stuck in the Mud’.
