Year 2 have had a brilliant first week back from half term (especially as the sun has been shining!).
In English we have been writing our own set of instructions for how we made our hand puppets.
In maths we have been learning to tell the time (including o’clock, half past, quarter past, quarter to and telling the time to 5 minutes).
As historians we had the chance to watch our recreation of the Great Fire of London as we saw our Tudor houses burn. We then used our puppets to help us put on a show explaining why the fire spread so quickly.
In RE we have been learning about the Christian Creation story. We worked in groups to re-enact and re-tell the key parts!
As artists we have developed our use of oil pastels, learning different techniques such as blending and feathering, and used these skills to help us create a piece of art about the Great Fire of London.
