Year 2 have settled in really well to their new classes and have enjoyed a very busy first week back!
As writers, the children have read the story ‘Rapunzel’ and have used drama to help them act out and write down the story.
As mathematicians, the children have been consolidating their understanding of place value from year 1 and have started looking at the place value of numbers to 100.
As geographers, we have used maps to explore the where the UK is in the world and then identified the 4 countries of the UK and their surrounding waters.
On Friday afternoon the children enjoyed their first physical enrichment activity. Hawthorn class participated in a hoola-hoop disco. Oak class tried out either archery, boccia or curling.
