Food tasting

This week we have begun or DT projects. We began by tasting different fillings for picnic rolls and practicing the skills of cutting and grating.

The children practiced the bridge and claw cutting technique on a range of vegetables. They also grated carrot and cheese using the safe and correct techniques. Then, they tasted the foods and rated them. We had lots of funny reactions to different food from disgust through to pure elation.
