A win for some of our footballers in a recent league fixture means they have 3 wins from 3 games and sit top of the league table.
Thursday 9th November
Girls Team Football League
SL 1 – 1 St.Ippolyts
A well contested game finished in a draw for our girls team which leaves them 3rd in the league – two points behind the leaders.
Wednesday 15th November
Hitchin ESFA Schools Tournaments
Two of our football teams competed in the Hitchin area ESFA tournaments. Both teams played some excellent football and represented the school with the right attitude and behaviour.
Girls:
Group Stage:
SL 2 – 0 Ickleford
SL 0 – 0 William Ransom
Semi Final
SL 0 – 1 Highover
A valiant effort from our girls team but in the end a goal from Highover in the dying seconds meant elimination at the semi final stage. A desperately unlucky situation for the girls and a tough lesson to learn but with more league fixtures and the Wix Cup semi final to come, there is plenty of football to be played.
Boys Large Schools:

Final
SL 2-1 Highover
The boys tournament went straight to a final following the group stage and following a very close match with Highover, the team ended up victorious by two goals one. They will now travel to Watford (tbc) to represent Hitchin at the County Round!
