On Tuesday 26th September the Samuel Lucas football team competed against Offley school in a football match. The boys who played in the team were Lucas, Finn, Noah, Jamie, Joe, Jacob, Felix, Frank and Ethan. The pitch at Offley school was quite small so it was going to be a hard game. Mr Smith was referee. Early in the game Jacob took a shot from close range and that was the first goal. Shortly after, Jamie hit one through the goalkeeper’s legs. Nine minutes in, the most crucial part of the game happened. Our goalkeeper Frank took a stud to the eye after heading the ball away. After all of that Ethan converted the third goal. At half time the score was 3-0. Far into the second half Jamie scored the fourth and final goal. Mr Smith blew the final whistle one minute later. Final score Samuel Lucas 4 – 0 Offley.
