Year 1 have been spending time recently looking at what makes a good friend. In particular, the children have been thinking about how they themselves can be good friends towards one another. The children came up with a friendship soup and a friendship cake recipe and “added” the various qualities they would want in a good friend.

The children also learnt that friends may get on and they may fall out but the important things was to ask for help from another friend or an adult if they need it. All the adults are so impressed with the fantastic suggestions the children have come up with, but we are also very proud of how we have seen the children putting these things into practise in school. Well done Year 1, keep it up!
