Today year 1 were lucky enough to visit our local supermarket to explore how food has changed from being grown/caught to being placed on the supermarket shelves. We had a fish and meat expert tell us all about where they get their meat from and how they keep it safe before being sold. We were also able to explore the back of the shop and see where the food gets delivered and how it is stored in large fridges and freezers before going out on the shelves.
