Friday 8th July
We were very lucky to be part of the Hertfordshire School Games event last week. We represented North Herts in three participation areas: inspire and engage (coaching), aspire and develop (skills festival) and compete (competition).
It was a very warm but enjoyable day which started by meeting the school games mascot and then listening to an inspiring speech from Lutalo Muhammad who is a two time Olympic medalist as part of the opening ceremony!
We had a great day and the children were amazing in terms of their teamwork, skills and self-belief. We had lots of fun and even managed time to visit the ice cream van!
We were awarded certificates and school games batons for our passion and honesty throughout the day.
Our compete team played some brilliant tennis against other schools finishing in 5th place which is a huge achievement and one we are very proud of!
Well done everyone for making a great day so enjoyable and thank you to Mrs.Wright for her support at the event.
