Hello again from the Isle of Sunshine!
Lucky we have lots of lotion…. it’s really great here but not absolutely baking so the children are doing fine.
The water slides at Blackgang Chine were so popular; each child had three goes each and all of the staff braved it this year! A brand new ride (covered by our risk assessments) replaced the old roller coaster and a number of children braved it successfully.
So did Mrs Reed. We are not worthy.
I will leave it as a surprise for your children to relate to you on Friday!
In the afternoon we had beautiful weather for the fossil hunt and lots of children found fool’s gold and dinosaur bones; they loved it and we were really impressed by their enthusiasm and knowledge during the pre-hunt talk by Greg, the expert.
Chicken curry has proven extremely popular tonight. Second helpings have been on offer each evening, in actual fact.
The breakfasts are great too, with optional cereal followed by optional hot breakfast.
In a moment we are going to the crazy golf courses before bed.
We are having to wake an increasing number of children at 7.15 each morning and I suspect that tomorrow will see that number rise!
