Our journey got off to a great start: clear(ish) motorways and arrival in Portsmouth with five minutes to spare before our scheduled arrival time! Year 6 were fantastic on the coach and loved exploring HMS Victory before boarding the ferry. Our crossing was quick and easy and we soon arrived at Wighthill Hotel. The children are all very impressed with their rooms and the evening meal was received extremely well too. The owners have informed them that there is a prize for the tidiest room which has created some healthy competition already. We spent a lovely evening on the beach before returning to the hotel for a spot of diary writing and evening drink. Breakfast is at 8 tomorrow morning: what a luxury! We all agree that it is a pleasure to be with such a lovely bunch of children.
