A Year 4 Class Post

Pangea

We have begun our new topic in Geography, Earthquakes and Volcanoes. In order to understand how these occur we begun by looking at the make up of our planet. We recapped the layers of the earth and then looked at tectonic plates. The Earth’s crust is made up of different tectonic plates which are constantly moving. When they move in different ways, different events and features can occur. We then investigated Pangea, the Earth’s supercontinent, and looked at how the current continents might have begun before plate movement relocated them.
