Good afternoon everyone,
It’s a very strange time for PE and sport but hopefully you are all finding ways to be active whether you are in school or at home.
I feel that one of the positives that we can take from the current situation is the great impact that physical activity and sport can have on our lives. I have certainly found that going for a walk with my family, going for a run or taking part in a home workout has really helped with my wellbeing and its been a great way to clear my mind at times and help me focus. This will be the same for you too so whether it be time in the garden practicing your skills or going for a walk/run/cycle with your family – give it a try when you can and have a think about how you feel afterwards.
National School Sports Week at Home
This week is National School Sport Week 2020 and although it will be very different from years gone by – there are still lots of ways you can have a really fun and active week! It would be great to see what you have been getting up to if you are taking part and I would love for you to share your photos or videos on social media. Firstly, you will need an adult with a twitter account to follow our school PE account – SamuelLucasPE1 and then share any photos or videos with me using the hashtag #NSSWtogether.
Virtual Pentathlon
Thank you to those of you in Key Stage 2 who sent in your attempts for the Virtual Pentathlon. I submitted our entry on Friday – well done and details of the next virtual competition (cricket and tennis) will be released today (Monday 22nd) so please look out for the information!
Hope you have a great week!
