PE
EYFS – have continued their work on fundamental movements with learning including rope climbing, jumping and landing, skipping, balancing, running and ball skills using hands and feet.
Year 1 (wide, narrow and curled), Year 2 (linking), Year 3 (Symmetry and Asymmetry), Year 4 (Bridges) and Year 5 (Counter Balance/Counter Tension) have been working through gymnastics units. We have discovered how we can apply our work onto apparatus, created our own sequences for performance and worked at providing feedback to our peers regarding their work.
Year 6 – have been working their way through a unit of Dance that is themed around the Titanic. We have looked at the history of the Titanic, the varying social classes onboard and the fate of the passengers and ship. We have worked in groups to choreograph a routine that the children have performed in the final lesson of the unit.
