Piers Torday, author of ‘The Wild’ trilogy and new release, ‘The Frozen Sea’, came in to inspire us with his thoughts on the magic and power of reading, and the life experiences that inspire his own writing.
Year 4, 5 and 6 were captivated by his talk; watch out at home if your child offers to read you a story at night…. they may just have an ulterior motive!
Please ask your child about the assembly, in particular how being bored might be the time when the best ideas and imagination grow!
