This morning Lori, our representative from the NSPCC, came to school to lead an assembly to say a very big Thank You to all the children for raising a huge amount of money for the charity. All year groups took part in a sponsored event during Feelin’ Good week and, thanks to the children’s family and friends, we raised a massive Ā£4176. 15 for the NSPCC. This will go towards running workshops in many other schools around the country and allow other children to learn how to ‘Speak Out. Stay Safe’. Special congratulations must go to Lilac, Hawthorn and Ash classes who brought back the most sponsorship forms.
Lori told us that it costs approximately Ā£1600 to trainĀ someoneĀ to be a workshop leader, so our money will make a huge difference to the charity. Thanks again from all of us at Samuel Lucas and of course, from the NSPCC.
