Just in case you missed it, the children in Year 1 have been reading all about Elmer. We chose Elmer because he is different and unique, there are no other elephants like him and the aim of the Reading Project was ‘Dare to be Different’.
In English, the children retold the story of Elmer in their own words. In PSHE, the children wrote about why they are special. In Computing, the children created their own patchwork Elmer pictures and finally in Art and Design, the children made their own miniature Elmers. We think you’ll agree that the children have done a fantastic job!
