Hello from Lilac and Willow, we hope you’ve had a good week this week!
This week:
Thank you so much for all of your Tapestry Observations. We have loved seeing all of your home learning around the story ‘What the ladybird heard’ by Julia Donaldson. We’ve seen some fantastic ladybird models, some great descriptions of animals from the story and lots of clever maps drawn of the different journeys you take. We have also loved seeing all of your maths learning about how to find double and seeing you practising your tricky words.
If you haven’t had a chance to upload anything this week please can you do so. If possible, please could you submit observations by Friday of each week and can you ensure they include an observation of the specific maths task and literacy task that we have set for the week.
As a reminder this week’s maths was to upload an observation showing your child’s understanding of doubling, and for literacy it was for your child to write a description of one of the animals from the story ‘What the ladybird heard’ for someone to guess.
Next week:
For home learning, we will be using the story ‘Nat Fantastic’ by Giles Andreae as a stimulus for the children. We will be sharing a video of the story being read by Mrs Fisher as a Memo on Tapestry. In our maths, the children will be learning all about halving and how to find half.
We hope you have a happy weekend!
Mrs Fisher and Mr French
