Hello from Lilac and Willow, we hope you’ve had a fun week!
This week:
Thank you for all of your observations last week. The children seemed to have got to grips with sharing well, particularly sharing food, and we’ve enjoyed reading about their favourite parts of their day based on this week’s story ‘What’s the time Mr Wolf’ by Debri Gliori. As always we’ve particularly enjoyed seeing all the wider activities that they’ve been up to including, gardening, cooking and lots of crafts. If you haven’t had chance to upload any yet please would you be able to as soon as possible.
Next week:
Next week’s learning is inspired by the book ‘Off we go to Mexico: An adventure in the Sun’ written by Laurie Krebs and Christopher Corr. We would like the children to choose one country as the basis for their learning and then compare your chosen country to the UK. We understand that as families you will have different approaches to home learning that works best for you. With that in mind, next week’s learning has plenty of ideas and activities to keep you going that you can carry out in one of two ways:
- If you would like to have a break from learning during half term, please complete the home learning by Friday 22nd of May as usual.
- If you’d prefer to continue some learning during the half term period, please could we have the literacy and maths observations uploaded by Friday the 22nd of May, and then any additional half term observations you have to follow.
We’re very much looking forward to finding out about your chosen country and taking a virtual tour of the world with you through Tapestry.
Wishing you a happy weekend!
