As we approach the centenary of the end of World War One, we have joined with other schools and organisations to add our Remembrance display to the old Kenmores store in Hermitage Road. Thanks to all the children who contributed their peace poppies; the displays look great and are a fitting way to remember and give thanks. Please go and see them before they are taken down next week.
On Friday we will be having a Remembrance assembly and we are very lucky to be welcoming Sonia Grinham from the Rotary club who have kindly donated a Peace rose to all the schools in Hitchin. Our Remembrance focus this year is on Peace and all the classes are creating work around this theme this week, some of which will be shared in assembly and then will go on display in the hall.
