Last week, year 2 enjoyed taking part in range of investigations as part of science week.
We conducted an experiment called ‘Don’t Tip the Ship’ where we used our fair testing skills to see how much weight our ships could hold before sinking.
We then explored how we could ‘Survive in Antarctica’ by testing a range of materials to see which would be the best thermal insulators. We then used our results to design our very own coats.
Finally, we used our prediction skills to try to determine the best way of collecting fingerprints after discovering that the biscuit tin in the staff room had been broken into! We discovered that using felt tip was the most effective method (and that the pheasant was the biscuit thief!)
