This week as writers we have finished writing and publishing our very own versions of Tiddalick the Frog and are very excited to share these with you at the open evening next half term.
As mathematicians we have continued learning about position and direction but focusing on describing movements and turns. We have learnt the vocabulary: whole turn, half turn, quarter turn, three-quarter turn, clockwise and anti-clockwise.
As religious learners we enjoyed thinking about what makes us unique and the different communities we belong to. We drew around someone and then filled the shape up with all the things that make us unique!
As geographers we have learnt about types of weather and extreme weather. We matched weather symbols to the names of the weather and then discovered where you can find these types of weather around the world.
As physical learners we started our new dance topic: explorers. We used our knowledge of the explorer Christopher Columbus to help us create different movements representing his voyage. We thoroughly enjoyed this and can’t wait for our next PE lesson!
This week in physical enrichment Oak class enjoyed participating in archery, boccia or using the outdoors apparatus. Hawthorn class enjoyed starting their 60 second challenges, especially the burpees and mountain climbers!
