Welcome to the final term in Year 6.
Even though the children have only been in school for four days, we have been as busy as usual!
We have provided each child with a booklet for both SPaG and Maths which will really help with whole class revision sessions over the next three weeks. We have also been refining our reading methods when answering comprehension questions.
I am proud to say that our curriculum remains varied during this time: we have had our first sessions about Victorians in history, Inheritance in science and Relationships in PSHE. The children also researched Tim Berners-Lee in computing.
In addition, we have continued our French and PE lessons and have been warmly welcomed by Miss Brind during a lovely Key Stage Two assembly. This was greatly appreciated by the children who then had the opportunity, in class, to answer five questions from Miss Brind in order to provide her with a full and wide picture of their thoughts about Samuel Lucas.
Our Isle of Wight meeting on Tuesday evening was very productive and it was brilliant to see such an excellent turn-out; many thanks for your attendance.
Here’s to another happy and successful term!
