Today in R.E. we examined religious symbols; what they represented and their purpose.
We then created our own symbols of things that are important to us and how we try to live our lives.
We put this symbol in the middle of a flower shape, cut it out and folded the petals onto the centre. In two groups we then placed our flowers into a bowl of water, floating them on top. As the paper absorbed the water the petals opened up revealing our symbol. The other members of the group then guessed what our symbol represented.
