In RE, we explored the Five Pillars of Islam and discussed how these are integral to the Islamic community. We then thought about our own school community here at Samuel Lucas – what would our five pillars be? We worked in groups to design buildings, each with five labelled pillars. We thought about values such as respect, fairness and good relationships. The challenge? We only had twenty minutes to create a 3D building that stood up on its own!
