This week we started our new English unit: Play Scripts.
We started the topic by unravelingĀ a jigsaw puzzle of a text and had to use our predicting skills to predict what the new topic would be and discovered it was a play script. We did this by looking at the features such as characters and stage directions to inform us.
In groups, we acted out our own version of the scene in the BFG when the BFG and Sophie first meet and assessed each other on how well everyone met our learning steps to success were: using intonation, changing voice volume and adding actions to our performance.
Every group put on a tremendously entertaining performance! We cannot wait to continue this topic!
