A Year 6 Class Post

Thrilling Thursday

We cannot believe that we are almost at the end of our stay. The disco finished a while ago. Hairstyles and clothing were changed accordingly (and that was just Mr Burgess; the children really went the extra mile). A happy, friendly way to end the day. The glass blowing this morning was a treat to watch and the rain stayed away for our trip to the beach at Alum Bay. During our journey to Carisbrooke Castle it did begin to rain but we stuck to our itinerary, taking in ramparts,  a donkey display and the museum. I have repeatedly said how amazing the children have been and it is true: the rain forced us to eat lunch in the coach and not a crumb was dropped, despite our determined efforts to find one!

I blogged last night before the talent show. What a treat that was! I don’t want to give anything away but we were treated to singing, piano and guitar playing, impressions, dancing, acting, hand clapping chants, a rap and, I believe, a comedy routine.

All of us have thoroughly enjoyed our time with the children. We have Crazy Golf to end the week tomorrow morning and then it’s back to reunite everyone. I will keep in contact with the school during our journey home.
