On Tuesday we visited the Hitchin War Memorial. We discovered that there were 356 names of soldiers on the memorial who gave their lives in the war. We discussed why there are poppies on the memorial and how we wear them to remember. We also used our observation skills to find the name E.P. King (as we will be learning more about him later in our topic). Thank you again to the parents who made our trip possible and successful!
