Our A team footballers took part in the EFL cup at Stevenage Football Academy last week.
As part of our association with Stevenage FC we were invited to participate with the winners representing Stevenage at the regional finals.
We played 6 group games across the afternoon winning 4 and drawing 2. Results below:
SL 0-0 St.Nicholas
SL 2-0 St.Margaret Clitherow
SL 2-0 St.Helens
SL 3-1 Watton at Stone
SL 1-1 St.Thomas More
SL 4-1 Aston St.Marys
This earnt the team a place in the semi final with Aston St.Marys. Unfortunately the match didn’t go the same way as the first one and we ended up losing 1-0 in a very tight game.
A fantastic effort from the team especially giving up their time on the occasional day to play.
