A Year 6 Class Post

Volcanoes and Umbrellas!

Many people believe that living near a volcano is always a bad thing! Year six have been disproving this by creating persuasive posters for people to visit “Volcanius”.  I wonder how many advantages of leaving near a volcano you can think of?

In art, we are studying Renoir’s “Umbrellas” and this week we are building our skills to work with paints and materials to try and emulate his distinctive style. The results are very successful so far.

Our world of Spiderwick is materialising wonderfully and we cannot wait to share our imaginative display with you upon its completion.

The Bikeability team wil be joining us next week and we would like to remind you about the SLPA’s sponsored “Break the Rules” day on Friday 23rd, which promises to be a lot of fun!
