As artists this term, we have been studying the famous artwork by Joseph Wright ‘An experiment on a bird in a pump’. We practised different art skills by examining different elements of the artwork such as mark marking, experimenting light and dark tones with shading as well as proportion accuracy to ensure our drawings and sculpture were the correct size.
We recreated the artwork in our groups with our finalised bird sculptures.
