This week we have started several new topics.
PE
After an exciting house tournament to finish off our Tag Rugby unit on Friday, we are starting our basketball unit this week. The children have been showing off the skills they remember from years 3 and 4 to Mr Smith, and we are looking forward to taking them further with talking tactics and effective team work on Friday.
Maths
In Maths, we enjoyed playing Mathopoly to review our addition and subtraction skills. We practised our column addition and subtraction, and reminded ourselves of the common errors we need to make sure we avoid, like not lining up our digits correctly in the right place value columns, and forgetting to add on exchanges.
