PE
Years 1 and 2 have continued their excellent work on their fundamental skills this week. We are focusing on sending and receiving a variety of equipment using our feet.
Years 3-6 have been developing their Javelin throwing technique in Sportshall athletics this week as well as scoring and measuring the distances of each others throws.
Sports Committee
The Kung Fu Panda lunchtime club is in its second week. The Sports Committee members have been busy planning and organising the club to deliver table tennis, circuit training, dance and speed stacking stations for children who have been invited to attend from Years 3 and 4.
Competitive Fixtures
It has been a mixed week in competitive sport. On Tuesday our Year 3 and 4 football team had their first game of the season and played brilliantly in a 7-1 victory against Wilshere Dacre.
On Thursday the football A team travelled to Highover in the semi final of the Wix cup. In a fantastic cup tie, they narrowly lost 3-2 despite battling back from being behind twice. Both goals came from Noah and player of the match went to Olly for a superb defensive performance. We wish Highover the best of luck for the final.
Next week the Netball team are at home to St.Ippolytts on Wednesday in the last of the competitive sports fixtures before Christmas.
Well done to everyone involved this week, you have been a credit to our school – not just in terms of your performances but you have shown excellent teamwork, sportsmanship, determination and resilience.
