We have had a lovely week settling back into school life. The children have loved being back and seeing all of their friends and teachers. The children have also had multiple opportunities this week to work in groups to help them redevelop their collaborative skills.
In English we have read the story ‘Scaredy Squirrel’ which the children LOVED and then we wrote a new adventure for Scaredy Squirrel.
In maths the children have completed their unit on shape. We have been looking at the properties of 3D shapes and used mini-marshmallows and cocktail sticks to help us identify the vertices and edges of the shapes.
