Hello all,
Welcome to year 4! We are so pleased to have the children back in school and they have been off to a flying start with their learning.
In English, the children have been busy learning about figurative language. They have been working hard to understand what the different types are and how to apply them to different settings. We have been busily planning our stories last week and are now moving on to the writing stage of ‘The Day Box’. The children have been learning how to use description to create clear settings and plots and, based on today’s work, we can really see that they are applying these skills wonderfully.
We can’t wait to share these stories with you once we have finished writing and have published them. The children are very excited about the final outcome of the unit. Ask them all about it at home!
