We have had a FANTASTIC week celebrating World Book Day! We absolutely loved dressing up as our favourite book characters and sharing these with our class.
On Tuesday we were amazingly lucky to have an assembly by the author Nizrana Farook. She told us all about how her life in Sri Lanka inspired her to write her own set of adventure stories! 2 lucky children also had the opportunity to get a class book signed by her!
We also got to share our amazing world book day character spoons. They are now proudly displayed in our classrooms!
We also celebrated World Book Day by exploring poems by Joseph Coelho. We read some of his animal poems and then were inspired to write and then perform our very own animal poems! We can’t wait for these to be displayed in the school library!
