For the past two weeks we have been studying some poems from WW1 as inspiration for our own writing. We have looked at life in the trenches and really tried to empathise with those soldiers. I am absolutely delighted with the children’s own poems! They have created some wonderfully perceptive pieces which describe not only the dreadful conditions but also the feelings of those involved. If this weren’t enough, their accompanying art work is absolutely beautiful! I am incredibly impressed with all their effort and commitment!
