On Thursday 20th September, the Year 1 children walked down to St Mary’s Church as part of our theme this term – Let’s Remember.  The children took turns to look around the memorial, discovering lots of information about some of the people who fought in World War One. We used our observational skills, enquiry skills and explaining skills during a game of I spy around St Mary’s Church before heading back to school.  The children were fantastic ambassadors for the school, Mrs Stickland and I were very proud of all of them.  Watch this space for more theme related learning.  A big THANK YOU to all the parents who were able to give their time to help support the children in their learning.  Mr French 🙂
