This week in Year 1, we went to Duxford! It was amazing, the children loved the journey there and everything that Duxford had to offer. On arrival, we saw spitfires performing stunts in the sky above us and then we saw some up close in the hangars. We walked through a Concorde and the children learnt why it is so iconic. We even saw a piece of the Wright Brothers’ plane that they made in 1903. In English, we wrote a recount of our day at Duxford. In maths, we have been learning about different coins and notes. The children also met their new teacher for next year and shared their learning from Outcomes Evening with them.
